From the desk of Tim Veurink:
Today Is Good Friday

We, at Veurinks' RV Center, reflect on this day
with all followers of Jesus Christ, as the day that our Lord gave His life on the cross
for the sins of everyone....once and for all.
"For the wages of sin
is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our
Lord." -Romans 6:23
-New International Version (NIV)

"For God so
loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his
Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through
him." -John 3:16, 17
New International Version (NIV)

Jesus’ cousin John the Baptist called Jesus the “Lamb of God”.
If you were a Jew back then you knew exactly what John meant by this. Under the
“Old” Covenant between God and Israel a prized lamb without any blemish would
be put to death as atonement for the sins of the nation. Jesus Christ is God’s
one and only Son who was without blemish or sin he was God’s perfect lamb. He
was the “New” Covenant that was sent by God the Father to die as payment for
the sins of all nations and all people.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through
faith--and this is not from
yourselves, it is the gift of God” Ephesians 2:8 New International Version (NIV)

Jesus was God’s amazing gift of grace. This gift was undeserved
and unmerited and we receive it by putting our faith in Jesus Christ and him
alone. This great gift of love, grace, forgiveness, and life is
undeserved and unmerited. We celebrate on this day the fact that there is nothing we
can ever do- to get God to love us more than He already does. There also is
nothing we have ever done that will cause God to love us any less as well. We
are loved we are blessed and for those who surrender and believe by confessing
Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life-they will have the gift of eternal life.
In the words of Charles Wesley:
"Amazing Love! How can it be that
thou, my God should die for me? "
It is truly Amazing that God would
put on flesh so He could die for us.
But it gets even more amazing...Wait till Sunday
