Mollee Veurink recently made some puppy chow this week....3 batches! So, here is the tasty recipe for your Holiday Parties. Whether you are RVing on the road this Holiday Season or just hanging around at home...this is the PERFECT treat to make.
It is the ultimate treat for entertaining.
I'm sure you have many holiday parties coming up, where you need to provide a tasty treat. Who doesn't love some peanut butter, chocolate, and a little crunch? If you don't like that....I don't know if we can be friends ;D

I made 3 batches of this mix for my students at the school I work at, as well as my fellow co-workers. Let's just say, they were puppies CHOWING down! I bought some cute boxes from Hobby Lobby and some tags and wrote their names on them and personalized it.
My rule of thumb...presentation matters!!
Even if it is just
puppy chow in a box.
puppy chow in a box.
I have always used this recipe from
....so, hats off to you!
For those wondering...I bought 2 of the family sized Crispex Cereals (Rice or Corn will work.) This made 3 batches....I still had a little left of unused cereal in one of the boxes. Depending on how much you're making....hopefully this gave you an idea of how much to get at the store. I LOVE this recipe because it has just the right amount of ingredients. It's not too much powdered sugar, where it is too sweet, and it has just the right amount of peanut butter and chocolate!

Your Grocery List:
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
9 cups Crispix cereal (any flavor)
3 cups powdered sugar
How to whip it up:
1. Combine peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl.
2. Microwave for one minute then stir to blend all ingredients thoroughly. Add 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Stir well.
3. Place the 9 cups of Crispix cereal in a very large bowl.
4. Pour the peanut butter-chocolate mixture over the cereal and toss evenly, making sure all the cereal gets a good covering.
5. Place the powdered sugar in a large zip-lock type plastic bag.
6. Add the peanut butter-chocolate cereal mixture to the bag, leaving enough room for the puppy chow to be shaken (you may have to divide the mixture into smaller batches, coating one batch at a time).
7. Shake the bag vigorously to evenly coat each piece of the puppy chow with powdered sugar.
8. Once the mixture is fully coated, place in a large serving bowl.
9. Coat any additional pieces by shaking the mixture in the powdered sugar filled bag. Add powdered sugar to the bag as needed until all the mixture is coated.
