From the Owner: He has Risen, He has Risen Indeed!

From the desk of, Tim Veurink:

He has Risen, He has Risen INDEED!

1When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. 2Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb 3and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”
4But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
6“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 7But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’”
-Mark 16: 1-7 New International Version (NIV)

On the cross, on a Friday afternoon, Jesus took upon himself all of the sins of the world. It was so ugly and violent that the Son of God’s own Father had to turn away. In His pain, Jesus cried out these words,
”My God My God why have you forsaken me?”

The cross cost Jesus everything, even His own life, but it was necessary so we could have life.

Satan had thought he won the battle.

But that was Friday and then came Sunday. Early Sunday morning Jesus sends a fatal blow to Satan....
....a rolled away stone, an empty tomb, and a resurrected body!
On resurrection Sunday, not even death could hold Jesus back.  Death is no longer victorious. In a brief weekend the power and curse of sin had been conquered and because of this we too can have hope.
Paul gives us these words:

55 “Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
-I Corinthians 15:55-57 New International Version (NIV)

He has Risen, He has Risen INDEED.

My challenge to you, is to reflect on the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, and what this gift means to you.

Happy Easter,

Tim Veurink & Family

From the Owner: Good Friday Reflection

From the Owner, Tim Veurink:

Today Is Good Friday

We, at Veurinks' RV Centerreflect on this day with all followers of Jesus Christ, as the day that our Lord gave His life on the cross for the sins of everyone....once and for all.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 6:23
 -New International Version (NIV)

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." -John 3:16, 17
New International Version (NIV)

We celebrate the fact that it was not the soldiers might or even the nails that kept Jesus on the cross but his obedience to the Father and his love for us.
This great gift of love, grace, forgiveness, and life is undeserved and unmerited. We celebrate on this day the fact that there is nothing we can ever do- to get God to love us more than He already does. There also is nothing we have ever done that will cause God to love us any less as well. We are loved we are blessed. We have God’s Amazing Grace through Faith in Christ Jesus.

In the words of Charles Wesley:
Amazing Love! How can it be that thou, my God should die for me?

It is truly Amazing that God would put on flesh so He could die for us.

But it gets even more amazing……..Just wait until Sunday.
