KZRV now has over 25 Floorplans available in the 2012 Sportsmen Classic and Spree Escape!!
All of them are under 3500lbs and a number of them are under 2500lbs. These units are available in 7' and 7.5" widths and with or with out slide-outs they start as low as $7,900. for a brand new travel trailer. The 14RB

14RB Sportsmen Classic- This is the "Original Classic" and we have sold a bunch of these. Only 2200lbs this rig is light and easy to tow. The 14RB features a 54" front dinette and Veurinks' RV Center stocks this one with a front window so you can see the outside while having breakfast. In addition to the front window we have 2 side windows, a Kitchen window and an entry door window to allow plenty of light into your trailer. These small trailers are not lacking in features either they include a roll up awning, Air Conditioner, Microwave, Toilet, hot water and shower. These units are price under $9,000 and since we are only 100 miles from the factory you have very little freight charge on the KZRV products. This floorplan is also available in the Spree Escape. Same floorplan but you pick up fiberglass exterior, Aluminum rims, and an upgrade cabinet and interior.

The 16BH

16BH Sportsmen Classic- Perfect little Bunkhouse for a family starting out. This is way better than a tent and less money than most fold downs only 2400LBS. Pull this with your mini van or crossover vehicle. Just a class II hitch will do it!! Same options as the 14RB and this one is also available in the Spree Escape

All three of these floorplans are available in the Classic or Escape. The 16RBT and 19SBT are your standard 7' width and the new 18RBT is now 7.5" width for more room all of these Hybrids are still under 3000lbs. This is better than a tent and in many cases these KZ products are less than a Fold Down camper.

170S Spree Escape

170s Spree Escape is new for 2012 this unit is only 2800lbs and is 7.5" wide with a large dinette slide!! Includes a Large Rea Bath and big wardrobe area. This is a great for the empty nester that wants to really travel with out breaking the bank.

190 Sportsmen Classic

The 190 Sportsmen Classic now comes with a walk around Island Queen Bed and the trailer is 7.5" width but still under 3000lbs. Again has Air, Awning, Microwave, and much more this one is under $12,000 and we have a good selection to chose from.

204S Spree Escape Anniversary Edition

204s Spree Escape this floorplan has a rear sofa slide and includes the KZ 40 year anniversary package still under 3500lbs this is the first tandem axle unit available in the Spree Escape

Solid Surface "L" kitchen gives plenty of work space in this trailer that only weighs 4600LBS. Private Bath offers access from the Master Bedroom or the hallway. This one has all the luxury of the bigger models with an easy to tow length and weight.

The 241RBSL

The 241RBSL- This one keeps the length and weight down but still offers plenty of wardrobe space and a walk around island queen bed. Veurinks' RV recently has added more staff to there service write up area and plans to hire additional parts staff this spring.

In addition to new hires Veurinks RV is remolding there service and parts write up area to handle the increase in business.

Veurinks' RV Center also has one person dedicated solely to Monaco RV and Holiday Rambler parts. Veurinks RV handles anywhere from 25-50 Monaco RV parts inquiries per day and ships parts all over the world. Due to their volume their pricing is less than if a customer bought a part directly from Monaco RV or Holiday Rambler.

Tim Veurink just recently returned from the 2011 RVIA Show down in Louisville Kentucky and give the following update of the brands that Veurinks' RV Center handles.

2012 Holiday Ramblers- Since 1963 Veurinks' RV Center has sold and serviced Holiday Rambler Products. Now a Navistar RV Company. The 2012 Holiday Rambler motorhome line up is as follows.

Aluma-Lite Class A and Cs- New for 2012 is the Aluma-lite 32SBT it is a triple slide Bunkhouse motorhome. It has a sleek design and perfect for a first time buyer and the bunk option is great for the kids or grand children. The Aluma-Lite Class C continues with sizes from 23-31 foot and the full wall slide 31sfd is very spacious with lots of storage. The Aluma-lite is priced anywhere from $65,000-$125,000.

2012 Augusta B plus is available in a 25PCS or the 29PBT. Veurinks' RV managed to get their hands on a 25PCS factory demo that will be offered at $59,990.00 available in December 2011.

The 2012 Vacationer is a real hit as well with it's new dash design and black out/sunscreen shades by united shade. Floorplans are the 30sfs, 32wbd, 34sbd and the 36sbt. New paint schemes as well.

The Ambassador for 2012 has really stepped up to a very upscale coach. Now standard with a 350hp Maxx10 by Navistar. This is a non DEF no hassle engine and requires no urea. The Ambassador has 4 floorplans the 36pft full wall slide has been real popular, also 3- 40 footers the 40pdq, 40pbq and the new 40dft which is a bath and a half full wall slide. Holiday Rambler is way ahead of the competition with a automotive dash, steering column that goes through the fire wall instead of the floor, 3 speed engine brake and they have eliminated most of those ugly exterior screw covers.

The 2012 Endeavor still a hit and what can you say about the 43DFT full wall slide bath and a half. They also put the 42' TV in the right location most of the competitors put a 32' TV that is blocked by the galley. Also new is the 43pbq, 40pbq and 36dft. for 2012 all Endeavors are standard with Aqua hot. Veurinks' Rv Center has 5 techs that are Aqua Hot certified.

The Holiday Rambler Trip for 2012 will be available in a 32' and 35'. These units are on a 29,000lb rated chassis with plenty of payload and offer an Allison 2500 trans and Maxx 7 diesel. This unit delivers great MPG ranging from 12-15mpg

KZRV- For 2012 has really out done itself. they offer the Stoneridge 5th wheel. The new 38fl front living room was a hit at the show and Veurinks' RV is looking forward to getting its first one. This will be in addition to the tri-level units of the 36RL and the 36Rk with it's outside Bistro.

The 2012 Durango fifth wheel looks good as well the new 355Rl anniversary edtion was a hit. Veurinks will also stock the 325RL, 315RE, 275RL, 355BH and the new 326RE rear entertainment with sectional sofa.

Always a hit are the Spree Escape and the Sportsmen Classic this year over 2 dozen floorplans to choose from all weighing under 3500lbs. The Escape will now offer slide-outs. Sizes range from 13-20

The 2012 KZ Sportsmen is KZ top seller and they will now offer more fifth wheel floorplans and trailers from 20-35 foot.

The KZ Spree also offered an anniversary edition in the new 2605 and the 321Rk these are both great floorplans and Veurinks' Rv wil stock them all.

Veurinks' RV has sold and service the KZ products since 1998 and always has a huge selection. The Sportsmen Classic and Spree Escape are some of there best sellers and Veurinks' RV usually has most floorplans in stock

The Sportsmen Classic and Spree Escape are light weight travel trailers from 13'-20' and weigh anywhere from 1700 lbs to 3500lbs. Between the 2 lines there are over 22 floorplans available some with slides and some with out. Also 6 Hybrid models as well

The 2012 Sportsmen Classic comtinues with great floorplans like the 14RB which weighs under 2500lbs plus the 16BH and 19BH are great bunkhouse units for the family weighing under 2900lbs Hybrids are the 16RBT and the 19SBT. New floorplans that should sell for are the 190 and 200 these units both have walk around queen beds in the front. the 190 has the entry door toward the rear and the 200 has the door in the middle both of these still weigh under 3000lbs.

The 2012 KZ Spree Escape offers some new floorplans with slide-outs. The E170S is a 17 footer with a dinette slide. The E190S has already been selling well with a dinette slide and 2 bunks in the rear. The E200S also has a dinette slide but no bunks. West Michigan Couple Wins KZ Trailer at Veurinks' RV Center

Marty Duffield was the lucky winner out of 97 semi-finalists and won a new 2011 14RB KZ Sportsmen Classic travel trailer during Veurinks’ RV Center’s ”Big Event Open House ” Saturday (April 16). The event was sponsored by WLAV radio, KZRV LP, Shipshewana, Ind., and the Grand Rapids, Mich., RV dealership.

The Duffield’s have an old 1979 30’ travel trailer that is parked permanently. With their new 14RB KZ Sportsmen Classic weighing less than 2,500lbs they feel more comfortable towing the trailer. They are looking forward to visiting many of the Michigan State Parks this summer.

The KZ Classic giveaway contest lasted over a five-week period with a WLAV radio blitz and 50 local billboards. Mrs. Duffield said that every time they drove by one of the billboards that pictured the 14RB Classic she would say “There is our trailer”! Sure enough there prediction and dream came true as Marty was the last man standing during a 2 hour reverse draw count down at the dealership.

The contest was managed by the Paul Miles Agency of Grand Rapids. The event was also supported with direct mail and an e-blast. Lot traffic was brisk during this period and there were more than 200 people in attendance the day of the giveaway.

Veurink' RV takes delivery of first 2011 Holiday Rambler w/Maxxforce

On August 15, 2010 we took delivery of our very first 2011 40PBQ Holiday Rambler Ambassador by Monaco RV.

What made this rig special were a number of things.

First, this was our very first 2011 Ambassador. It had a new exterior color called Gold Rush and a new Glazed Stained Cherry hardwood interior. It was beautiful.

This also was our very first coach to go through the Navistar MQC program. This is the quality control process that Navistar uses at all of it's plants and now is using it at the Monaco RV plants. The process is a 12 station inspection process and empowers workers to stop the production if something is not up to the MQC standards. In the past Quality control came in after the coach was built and this meant that the same old issues would just keep coming off the line. We were all very impressed with the fit and finish of this vehicle from the paint work to the interior it was flawless.

I was very interested in talking to the driver who just drove this vehicle to our dealership all the way from Coburg Oregon. You see this was our very first coach with the new Maxxforce 10 diesel. The best person to talk to is the guy who just put 2,400 mile on the coach. The driver told me that the coach preformed very well. He was impressed with the acceleration and the power in the mountains. He also liked the 3 stage engine brake over the old single stage exhaust brake so he did not have to ride the chassis brakes nearly as much. The engine ran very cool and was real smooth. The driver also showed me all of his receipts and we discovered that he got 9.63MPG from Oregon to Michigan and this was on a brand new motor. Frankly I was very impressed because this is a big coach and driver was also pulling a car. The other thing I notice was what was not there.

We found that on our own test drives this coach to be very quite, smooth and with a lot of get up and go.

I look forward to taking a few of our customers on test drives on this fine Holiday Rambler motorhome and invite anyone out to inspect this fine Diesel Pusher by the New Monaco RV.

Ramsey and Cheryl Dersken were the lucky winners out of 97 semi-finalists and won a new 2010 13FK KZ Sportsmen Classic travel trailer during Veurinks’ RV Center ”Big Event Open House ” Saturday (April 24). The event was sponsored by WLAV radio, KZRV LP, Shipshewana, Ind., and the Grand Rapids, Mich., RV dealership.

The Derskens’ were overjoyed as they shared with Tim Veurink, president of Veurinks’ RV. how their 20-year-old folding camping trailer had deteriorated to the point were they could not use it any more and now they were camping in a tent.

They also shared with Veurink their passion for camping and that they recently had a streak of camping for at least one day a month for 38 consecutive months.

The Derskens said that they love state parks and one of their favorite things to do is camp at Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula on New Years Day. “Our motto is ‘Go RVing with Us’ so it was great to see the KZ Classic go to someone like Ramsey and Cheryl who really appreciate the RV lifestyle,” Verurink said.

The KZ Classic giveaway drawing lasted over a five-week period with a WLAV radio blitz along and 50 local billboards.

This is the second year for the program, and the first time including dealers in Canada. The response was overwhelming in spite of the general economic atmosphere this year. What really makes this story amazing is that even with the headwinds of 2009, we received about 40% more applicants than in 2008, said RV Business publisher Sherman Goldenberg. The competition was a lot tougher this year, which tells us that those who applied and especially those who were selected by the judges are truly exceptional. You know they have to be doing something right to not only withstand the down economy, but to exemplify best business practices at the same time.

Dealers nominated by U.S. and Canada were invited to apply for the Top 50 program. After the applications were collected, a panel of independent industry judges convened to review the applications and select the Top 50. Criteria were not based on sales, but on customer service and satisfaction, employee training and education, and sound planning and initiatives. This year, five times as many applicants had to be cut than in 2008, which made it a difficult process for the judges, according to Goldenberg.

There was a lot of discussion and debate, he said. It was really hard for the judges

to narrow it down, so those dealers who made it in should be particularly proud of this accomplishment.” The 50 finalists collectively generated approximately $1.6 billion in sales last year and have received hundreds of awards from manufacturers and their local communities.

Veurink's RV Center Nations oldest Holiday Rambler Dealer takes delivery of first units from the new Monaco RV LLC

It was 1963 when Howard Veurink then owner of Veurinks’ RV Center in Grand Rapids Michigan first signed a dealer agreement with Richard Klingler who was the founder of Holiday Rambler in Wakarusa Indiana. That afternoon Howard towed home a 19’ rear gaucho Holiday Rambler travel trailer and parked it on his rented lot. By that evening Howard had sold his first Holiday Rambler. Since that time the Veurink family has sold and serviced several thousand Holiday Rambler towable and motorized products. Forty six years latter the tradition continues as Veurinks’ RV Center and the “New” Monaco RV LLC have re-signed a dealer agreement to continue selling the Holiday Rambler brands. The dealer also has just taken delivery of 3 new 2010 Holiday Rambler towable products.

In June of 2009 Navistar picked up the Holiday Rambler brand and manufacturing facilities from the assets of the old Monaco Coach Corp. “We look forward to working with a financially sound company like Navistar who like us has a rich history of customer support and satisfaction”- said Tim Veurink President of Veurinks’ RV. According to Tim, Holiday Rambler has always had a reputation of being a top brand offering quality and value. “When you sell a brand for 46 years you develop a very loyal customer base of owners of that brand who frankly can’t see themselves buying any other brand but a Holiday Rambler”. Tim also stated that over the 46 years they have partnered with 4 different owners of the Holiday Rambler brand they include, Richard Klingler, Harley Davidson, Monaco Coach, and now Navistar. “Change is never easy but I can honestly say that every owner of Holiday Rambler has helped the product evolve into a better RV and I believe Navistar is capable of taking that evolution to a whole new level”.

No doubt we are in very challenging times this is as tough as it has been since 79/80. As far as the RV business goes I think that was even a more difficult time. I can say that because I lived through it. During that period we lost 50% of the dealer body and even more manufactures. In fact we where still selling 1978 units in 1981. I heard how RVs would be dinosaurs Ect Ect and gas lines were so long that they blocked the entrance to our dealership and then when you did get a deal people had to pay 20% interest on their loan and we were paying the same on our flooplan. It was a tough time but the RV business came back bigger than ever and in 2006 sold over 390,000 units which was the same number we did in 1978. We also are starting to see things pick up since the Novi Show we have sold several units and most dealers I talk to around the country have had a good last 2 weeks in February. The biggest challenge we all are having right now is getting enough used Motorhome inventory since that seems to be the hot spot right now. I could write a book on why I think the RV business will bounce back but I won’t put you through that.

2009 marks the 55th year that the Veurink Family has been in the RV Business. With a focus on the RV lifestyle and keeping customers on the road and enjoying their RV purchase for years, repeat business is what keeps the company forging ahead, even in uncertain times.

Tim Veurink, President of Veurinks’ RV Center in Grand Rapids is the third generation of his family to be in the RV Business. Tim says “Over the past 55 years the RV business has been very good to our family. We enjoy the RV lifestyle and love dealing with the RV customer.”
The past couple of years have been challenging for the RV industry across the board. When asked how the economy is affecting his sales numbers, Tim indicated that overall he is confident that the industry will rebound as it has in the past. “This industry has always had its ups and downs. We had tough go of it in 1974-1975, 1979-1980, 1989-1991, 2000-2001 and now again we face some challenges today. What I have learned is during these times you need to take care of your customer, communicate with your staff, stick to your plan, and hang in there until the storm is over because the storm always does end.”

Tim adds that he feels blessed that his family has been in the RV business for 55 years and believes that the RV lifestyle and business will bounce back bigger than ever. Here are his reasons why:

1. The biggest population group, the baby boomers, are sitting on the side lines ready to jump into the RV lifestyle.
2. Baby Boomers will have to, and want to travel, to visit their children and grandchildren who were displaced to other states because of job opportunities.
3. Because of the Go RVing campaign the RV lifestyle is seen in a more positive light than it was 25 years ago. Also many RV Resorts have been upgraded with high end accommodations for travelers.
4. More Americans than ever are wanting to travel domestically, and appreciate all that our Nation has to offer.
5. People today want more freedom and flexibility in their leisure time and an RV is a perfect fit. They also want to stay connected when they travel through technology. The modern RV, again, is a great fit for this lifestyle
6. More and more Americans own pets. Most RV resorts are pet friendly. Checking into a motel with your two dogs and the cat for an overnight stay isn’t an easy thing to do.
7. RVs enhance and compliment other recreational activities that people enjoy. Toy Haulers are a perfect example of this phenomenon. People take their motorcycle, ATV, jet ski, surfboard, bicycles, and even their hobby equipment with them across the country.
8. RV lifestyle is still the most economical way to enjoy a vacation or your retirement. After this last real estate bubble people may want to have a lower investment and overhead risk and invest in an RV.

It is time to think about that summer vacation.
