HAPPY THANKSGIVING

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:17 NIV
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.-I Thessalonians 5:18 NIV

Thanksgiving Day is a great time to be intentional and reflect on the things that we are thankful for.

Over the past few months I have been challenging myself in the area of thanksgiving. I have been trying hard to make it a daily discipline. This journey of contemplating my own level of gratitude has been quite eye opening.

A couple of areas I have been challenged with are in the areas of
B L E S S I N G S
life’s circumstances.

Here are a couple of my thoughts that I am working through:

1. Genuine thanksgiving is not selfish inflow but produces selfless outflow. Certainly, an attitude of thanksgiving would be to acknowledge and appreciate the blessings we have been given. However, it does not stop there and it is much more. I believe that true thanksgiving is also an attitude of giving and returning the blessings we have by using them to glorify the One who is the fount of every blessing God, Himself. This is usually played out when we show kindness in word and deed by transferring the fruit of those blessings to others.

2We are to be thankful in all circumstances. Now wait a minute, being a person of outflow is hard enough but being thankful in all circumstances, that is impossible. Well, without God, it is impossible. Sometimes people will say when life’s circumstances go their way that “God is good”. This is true and when this happens it should be celebrated. But is not God still good even when life’s circumstances deal us a blow or go a different way than we had planned? God says we are to trust Him in all situations.

is experienced when we are in a humble posture and cry out to Him, remembering what He has done in the past and thankful that He also holds the future.

The nation of Israel, when set free from slavery, still faced challenges in the Promised Land. God told them to “Remember” the Lord their God and how he delivered them from the past. They also were to look beyond life’s obstacles, not negotiate their values because life was difficult, and they were to look toward God and trust Him no matter what.

My Great Grandmother in her Wisconsin Dutch accent would recite
Psalm 121: “I will lift mine eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help”.

This Psalm was sung by the ancient Hebrew pilgrims who made their annual festival trek to the Temple of God. They had to look beyond the obstacles and dangers of the journey. Along the way, they would look toward the hills to the Holy City of Jerusalem for it was there were they would worship Almighty God. It was there were they would find hope and worship with thanksgiving (Ps 122). We too are called to remember what God has done. He also has given us eyes to “lift to the hills”. These eyes are the eyes of faith. It is with these eyes of faith that we can be sure and certain that what we hope for is real (Hebrews 11). It is with these eyes that we actually see the perfecter of faith, Jesus Christ, who endured the cross and it is with these eyes that we can see the destination of the heavenly holy city. When we see with eyes of faith and we know our help comes from the Lord. We can be sure and certain that the hope of God is real and He always knows best. It is then that the power of life’s circumstances no longer has a hold on us.

God is always good all the time and for that I need to be thankful all the time.
_______________________________________________________________

May you consider this journey of thanksgiving with me, as I strive to be a person of more outflow and a person who is unshakable in all circumstances. May we all remember what God has done and looks forward in thankfulness to the destination.
Thank you to all of our stakeholders, our customers, employees, vendors & partners.
May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving

Veurinks' RV

Meet the Veurinks' RV Sales Manager.

Matt is the son of the General Manager of Veurinks' RV Center, Tim Veurink.

He grew up in Cutlerville, MI and attended South Christian High School. In 2010, Matt graduated from Northwood University in Midland, MI, with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, and is an AFIP Certified F&I Professional. He was heavily involved with the extra curricular activities at Northwood University, and enjoyed every aspect of the education he received from there.

NUIAS 2008 TEAM RV

One of his favorite things was being part of the Northwood Auto Show, where the students conduct and present the show on campus. Above, is a photo of his team...they were Team RV and had brought a few RV's up to present.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As he grew up in a family who sells and loves to RV, he developed a passion for the RV lifestyle early on. He enjoys golfing, hunting, boating, Detroit sports games, and traveling.

His favorite place to RV is anyplace that is warm, where he can really enjoy the outdoors.
Matt has been on several RV road trips with his family. He's been RVing all the way up in Northern Michigan, even down South to Florida, to visit his Grandparents.

W.VA Roadtrip

One of his favorite RV road trips was with 7 of his friends from college. They all piled in a Holiday Rambler and cruised on down to West Virginia and did some white water rafting. He also enjoys taking an RV full of friends and head to Detroit, for a Lion's game.

Matt: "One of the main reasons why I like the RV industry is whether you are a family of 8 or a retired couple, you are not limited on where you can travel. There are many options for you to choose from, when selecting an RV that is right for you and your family...as well as the fact that there are so many places you can take an RV. If you don't like your neighbor, you have the ability to leave! If you were in a cottage, you don't really have the ability to do that."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Make sure to say hello to Matt the next time you stop on in!
He will also be at our future RV shows coming up.

Laugh with us and enjoy this funny blooper reel of him too:

Veurinks' RV

Meet Veurinks' RV Salesman, Sean Pollard.

Sean hails from the great state of Texas. He graduated from Aubrey High School, in Aubrey Texas. He went on to college and graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas, with a major in Communication Studies and Political Science.

"RVers are the nicest people you can meet.  One time I was camping 3 hours from home and had to be brought back to the emergency room. Our boat was still in the water, the camper was still at the campground and we had two trucks at the campground.  My fiance had to go back and get the camper hooked up and put the boat on the trailer by herself, which she couldn’t do, but all of our neighbors at the campground pitched and got her hooked up and on the road.  Without the kindness of other campers, we would’ve been in an even worse situation." -Sean Pollard

When Sean isn't working, some of his favorite hobbies are playing video games, shooting pool, and going out on the lake when he can in the summer. "I’m definitely one of the biggest geeks in the RV industry!" -Sean

One of Sean's favorite RV destinations is South Higgins State Campground, in Michigan.

What does Sean love most or find most interesting about the RV industry?
"The variety.  You can get anything from a 8ft popup to a 45ft diesel pusher and varying levels of price and luxury and still enjoy all that RVing has to offer." -Sean Pollard

Sean Pollard, wants to direct your attention to his Veurinks' RV Facebook Page! He created one for you to connect, share your experiences, and keep up with the latest and newest products we offer.

He would love for you to head on over and "LIKE" his page if you happen to be a customer of his, an RV Lifestyle enthusiast....and don't forget to invite your friends, who may be thinking about joining the RV Lifestyle.

Not to mention, you will be able to view Sean's walk through tours of new RV's in the videos, that he will film for your convenience. He can answer any questions you may have and ensure you have an amazing RV experience.

Where to Travel Wednesday: C A B O

Brrrrrr.....

Yes. It's that time of year. Some of us head down South, and well for some...that's not even an option! Instead, you may be planning a week vacation for you and your family.

Where are some fabulous places to flee from this snow, while your RV is stored up this season?

We have a few places in mind for you to travel, while you are planning your next getaway! We will be featuring a new place each week.

This week:
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Check out that water.
Gorgeous hues of aqua and green. Take a ride on the glass bottom boats and head on over to the famous arch. Also, hop on off at lovers beach to relax and see some sea lions.

Head down to the Marina for an array of local Mexican food and dancing downtown!

You can also do some deep sea fishing.

Tim Veurink and his daughter went fishing. They caught 10 tuna and...look at this marlin!

Rent a car and just drive. You may come across some fabulous finds, when it comes to scenery.
For instance, look at this view! This was Cerritos Beach. Surfers were surfing away.

We recommend staying at The Villas.
There are 3 Villas to choose from: Del Palmar, Del Arco, or La Estancia.
Beautiful views, where you can step right out on the beach. Beautiful pools, beach volleyball, and friendly staff!
Did we mention horseback riding on the beach? It is so much fun. Grab the family and hop on a horse...even Tim Veurink did it! ;D

Cabo has beautiful weather. It is dry heat, so no humidity. This is a great place to relax and not be on a schedule. Lay out on the beach, read a book, and let the time just tick away. There is golfing, sightseeing, & many delicious restaurants.

So, did we sell Cabo to you?? ;D

So, there you have it. A little inspiration for that getaway you need to plan this winter! Where do YOU like to vacation when your RV is stored away for the winter?
