It's that time of year....
Friends & family, food & fellowship, Fourth of July festivities, topped off with some Fireworks.

Having trouble coming up with a menu for your cook out? A few of our staff members told us their favorite 4th of July cookout
must-haves! Whether you are entertaining at home or RVing away, these delicious options give you the ability to create it anywhere.

We put together a basic meal planning menu, yet one that everyone loves. You will be able to personalize it to your audience, and add that creative touch to make it festive.

Come cookout with us and get some tasty ideas for your holiday weekend......

Salesman, Matt Veurink said, "If I'm entertaining, I need to be by the grill! I like to put a little bit of Worcestershire Sauce on each patty and then throw them on the grill. It adds a little extra flavor to the burger."

Kim, over in our Camp Store says, "Corn on the cobb!"
You can't go wrong with throwing some fresh corn on the grill. Simple & easy, and something everyone loves!

Salesman, Ryan, says, "I love a good sweet & tangy coleslaw."
We found a sweet & tangy recipe just for you all to try at

Chasity, over in our Service Department says, "My Mom makes the BEST potato salad. This is good for any cookout. There's no secret to it, however she does add salt in the potatoes, when she is cooking them. Other than that, throw in the basics for any potato salad."

Owner, Tim Veurink, says, "I love my wife's baked beans. She uses Bush's baked beans, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, onion, salt & pepper, and topped with some bacon....& let it bake!"

(if you want Pat Veurink's actual recipe, let us know!!)

Sue, in our Parts Department says, "I love a good fruit salad."
You can make it festive or keep it basic. A healthy option, with some great in season fruit, is a perfect asset to your summer party.

For those with a sweet tooth, here are a few delicious AND creative ways to add that 4th of July flare. Turn some basic summer food items, into a work of art! These are a few ideas that you and your children can help make.

S'mores are always the answer. Look for jumbo sized stars, that are red, white, and blue! The kids will have a blast roasting these over the fire.

A Gal's Guide to Glamping: 2015 Aspen Trail 2760 BHS

- G L A M P I NG -
 "A Gal's Guide to Glamping"
S E R I E S

Ladies, how many of you have ever taken a
Girl's Glamping Getaway, with a few of your best gal pals? Well, this summer, we will highlight a few select RV's that are absolutely perfect for your Girl's Getaway! I will create a guide for you, to put together and host that perfect weekend away...not to mention, I'm highlighting these features from a Woman's perspective :)

Say G O O D B Y E to the kids and hubby and say H E L L O to relaxation and fun.

First off, you NEED an RV to stay in!
What should I GLAMP in? No worries.
I would like to introduce to you, the.....
2015 Aspen Trail 2760 BHS.
(Click the link for complete details)

2015 Dutchmen Aspen Trail 2760BHS

Take a look at this F A B U L O U S floor plan! Join me as I walk you through some of the key features of this
Aspen Trail.

     1. SLEEPING FOR 10: Great for the Gals (or the family.) There is a T O N  of comfortable sleeping space for adults and children alike. Did I mention, that there is a full 60'' by 80'' residential sized Queen bed for you? Now you can bring the same linens you would use at home, to have an even more comfortable night's sleep. It can sleep up to 10 people (8-9 comfortably), with putting 2 people to a bed. Which means, you can gather all of your closest friends and have the time of your lives!

2. ACCESSIBLE BATHROOM: Check out the lower left hand side of this floor plan. This RV has a door where you can get into the bathroom directly from outside. Why track dirt and footprints through the main door and then have to sweep up the dirt and sand? Well, with this easy accessible bathroom location and entrance, you won't have to. Leave that broom in the closet and get back out to social time with the Gals!

3. Spacious Pantry & U-shaped Dinette: Enjoy the spacious pantry, to load up on all the goods! There is plenty of space for you to stock up on the necessities for your weekend getaway. No need to have food, cans, drinks, and groceries on the tables and countertops....you'll be able to keep it neat and tidy!

The U-Shaped Dinette is a great asset to your RV. If it happens to be raining outside, go ahead and gather around the dinette and play a game of cards! It is a great space to entertain and have a bite to eat and enjoy the company of one another.

So, there you have it, Ladies! I hope this gave you a few
"ah-ha" moments, when finding that perfect RV, to start your Girl's weekend. These are just a few highlights of this spacious and fabulous RV. The Sales Team would love to give you a tour of this and answer any questions you may have.

Stay tuned for another "Gal's Guide to Glamping" blog post coming soon! I will continue to create a guide for you to prepare for that perfect getaway ;D

Family Fun: ALL you can EAT

Hungry?
Get ready for an
A L L you can E A T
opportunity.

It's time to kick it back and relax, while you take many RV vacations! It has finally warmed up and the Veurinks' RV team wants to equip you with all of your RV needs this summer. From parts and accessories, upgrading to a newer RV, tips & tricks, to even a new camping recipe to add to your next adventure....we are here to help!

We believe it is important to be involved in the life of your own children and family. We get it...busy work schedules, weekly commitments, daily meetings, kids have their schedules....you burn out fast if you don't have a healthy balance. Well, summertime is a perfect time, to gather the whole family and friends and spend some much needed time together. Whether you have smaller children, adolescents, or even young adults in the family, this activity we have for you is a great way to recollect and make memories.

Now, this activity involves very few items, but an appetite to get a little competitive AND messy!

MATERIALS:
Several Large Watermelons (cut up)
Plates
Hungry Stomachs :)

What are we doing, you ask?
W A T E R M E L O N eating C O N T E S T!

Depending on the size of your group, you can customize it to your liking. You can make it harder by blindfolding the participants, not allowing them to use their hands, as well as timing them. You can create your own rules and ways to spice up this family fun activity up, to tailor it to your audience.

Did we mention, this is a great way to encourage your kids to eat healthy watermelons?
Just thought we'd throw that one out there.

A basic round could consist of 4-5 participants holding their hands behind their back. They will be timed for 2-3 minutes and see who can eat the most slices in that given amount of time. You may have a helper for each person participating, in giving them a new slice, once they are done with that slice they just devoured. Whoever the winner is in each round, will be part of the final round. You could have several rounds of the basic round, depending on how many people are playing overall. We have done this activity with 25 kids, and have split it up 4 of the basic rounds, to gather our final playoff round participants.

Remember, no hands - ALL mouth!

Now, parents, you are not off the hook ;) There is always a round for the adults and parents! This is a way for your children to see you in a playful side of participation, as well as it encourages your kids to cheer you on.

Gather the adults and get ready to smash your face in some watermelons....not to mention, get your kids laughing hysterically.

The final round consists of the same rules (or you can change it up to make it harder,) and participants will be timed for a longer amount of time!

We hope this gave you some inspiration to have some family fun and some quality time with the ones you love. You'll have the whole RV park at your site wanting to participate in this watermelon eating contest....AND they won't just be drooling over the watermelons, but at your sweet RV from Veurinks' RV Center ;)
